My 1st FO Friday

This week I’m very excited to join in my first FO Friday hosted by the inspiring  Tami's Amis blog! I had a couple of small crochet finishes over the weekend which I’m pleased with and thought I’d share.
I finally finished Jackie the Cow from the CAL I joined ages ago over on the Fresh Stitches Ravelry board. The deadline came and went ages ago while I attempted to locate my toy stuffing.

While I’d got the crochet hook and the brown yarn to hand I decided to finally give my owl a beak and some feet. This is the first EVER thing I crocheted last year, and it has since languished in the craft room awaiting freedom.

She now flies free on the corner of the bookshelf. More finishes next Friday!

Weekend wip's

I've spent the last couple of days working on my summer sweater, dubiously nicknamed 'The Seaside Sweater' because the colour reminds me of the ocean, and so a vintage shell lace pattern instantly sprung to mind. I'm writing the pattern as I go.

Today I'm having a little break in an attempt to finish the crochet cow I started for a CAL last month and missed the deadline for because I couldn't find where i'd put the toy stuffing! Hopefully I'll post a finished pic tomorrow.

In other news, I now have a facebook page! I hope you'll come and have a look and give my page a 'like'.
