New on the needles

I found some lovely aqua 2 ply at the scrapstore which for £3 I had to buy. The colour really made me think of the seaside, so I thought that a summer sweater in Shetland shell lace pattern would be super. I managed to cast on over the weekend, and done 10cm of rib (which seemed to take FOREVER) when I realised I had miscalculated my tension AND counted the wrong amount of stitches in the pattern repeat. So I had to start again. Today I've double double checked the math and cast on again. And ribbed one row. Sigh.
